a house obsession is born

sunday dinner

My neighbors and I got together on Sunday night for a house dinner. The theme was Asian and the food was delicious. I made my favorite sesame orange baked tofu and some roasted acorn squash and sesame carrots. Catherine assembled the most delightful and fresh vegetarian sushi rolls.

Speaking of sushi, turns out a friend of mine knows his way around the kitchen. Check out what’s sure to be the first of many fantastic cooking podcasts over at Fork You!. The first item on the menu, sushi of course!!!

philly: a colorful place

I had some friends down from Brooklyn this past weekend for fun, flea market-ing, crafting, and art-seeing, among other things.  Inviting friends to visit is a good way to get a healthy dose of arts & culture. Kayte of love forever wrote a really great post about the trip on her blog, so I will pass the sparkly baton to her!

flickr GAMMA

IMG_6949looks like flickr is no longer beta, but gamma! yay!  i noticed it immediately today… i saw a lot more photos on my flickr page than i normally do and other neat little upgrades here and there.  i love seeing web apps (NERD alert) that i use a lot get refined into more logical and fun pieces of software. 

i was in nyc this weekend and took a bazillion pictures as usual… i got to see a lot of really old and very special friends from many different places and times of my life.  check out this set taken at my friend jenn’s dinner party on saturday night. nothing like hanging out with girls like this to get your head on straight.

PCPI PHOTOIMAGE ’06

congratulations to my friends at PCPI for putting on a great show at nexus gallery this past week. and of course to the many artists who won the juried photography competition. i even gave it my best shot, but didn’t make the cut. bummer. better luck next year!
